Our new decarbonisation report – ‘Warmer, healthier homes, domestic retrofit, a net zero opportunity’ talks about the realisation for our organisation that retrofit isn’t simply about meeting our net zero targets, it is much bigger than that – it’s about people.

Unlock Net Zero have recently published an article where we introduce our decarbonisation report and delve how we are aiming to make a positive impact on people’s lives, their homes, their sense of place, and ultimately the planet.

A viewpoint from Mears profiling their upcoming report - Warmer, healthier homes: domestic retrofit, a net zero opportunity

05/02/2024

Have you ever thought about how much you could save if you made small changes to your everyday life? You may be surprised how a few simple changes in your home could make a big difference.

30/01/2024

Following todays roundtable discussion which brought together government and policy officials and industry figures to collaborate on moving forward the retrofitting of homes in the UK agenda Mears have released a Retrofit Policy Paper.

The report examines the progress that has already been made and draws on the experience of Mears and others to suggest policy solutions that could help accelerate the UK’s retrofit journey.

As one of the UK’s leading providers of housing management and maintenance services in the UK, Mears has an enormous responsibility towards making housing more energy efficient and we will continue to learn daily as we undertake more and more retrofit activity.
