🏑👏 Thanks to the Boroughmuir High School Senior Girls Hockey Team and their parents for sharing these brilliant photos with us!

We were proud to sponsor them last school term as they headed off on their first ever hockey tour, to the Netherlands.

Thirty girls travelled to Utrecht for a four‑day adventure, playing four matches across two cities. Despite facing fierce opposition on the pitch, their determination and team spirit shone through, with plenty support from their parent-coaches.

We hear the team also made some time for some exploring between games, including the best pre-match brunch we've ever heard of - chocolate pancakes on a 'pancake boat' in Amsterdam!

Huge congratulations to all the players and to the coaching team and parents whose fundraising made the trip possible. We were delighted to play a small part in supporting such a fantastic and formative experience for our local young people.

We can't wait to see where the At Home In Edinburgh hockey kits might head to next summer!

For now, who spotted director Vicky showing off the new kit? đź‘€

Awaab's Law comes into force today, as one of the provisions of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2025.

Are you up to speed with all you need to know?

Awaab's Law brings in new damp and mould regulations under the Repairing Standard, introducing statutory deadlines within which investigations, repairing works, and reporting must be carried out.

If a landlord doesn't comply, the First Tier Housing Tribunal can issue a rent relief order, reducing the tenant's rent by up to 90%.

We've published a straightforward guide - take a look, and let us know if you need any support:

🦆 Yes, folks - the weather is on the turn, and it's time to share one of our favourite photos!

One of our property managers snapped these free-range West End ducks a while back, and it's a great reminder of the many things we love about working in Edinburgh.

You never quite know what you might come across between property valuations, rental assessments, and viewings!

New damp and mould regulations for private landlords in Scotland will come into force on 6th October 2026, as part of the new Housing (Scotland) Act 2025.

The Scottish Government has now published detailed guidance on the new regulations, which are known as Awaab's Law.

While the existing Repairing Standard and Tolerable Standard set out the standards to which private landlords must keep their properties, Awaab's Law introduces statutory deadlines within which investigations, repairing works, and reporting must be carried out.
