BEHIND THE BUILD | - DAY 06/30
The last two days.
A productive couple of days on the annexe, even if plenty of the progress doesn’t show up in a timelapse.
popped in to clarify a few wiring positions. What might have been a quick visit turned into a great conversation about running a small business, the challenges that come with it, and everything in between. It’s always good to speak with other trades who are in the same boat.
We also made solid progress closing up large sections of the ceiling. It’s finally starting to look more like a finished room and less like a building site.
Away from the tools, we had a really positive conversation with a potential new client about a garden room. It’s exactly the sort of project we want more of: managing everything from groundworks and concrete through to second fix and finishing.
We’re also starting a new landscaping job on Monday for another new client, putting the finishing touches to their garden and creating a more practical, child-friendly space.
And then there’s the annexe shower room… When you’re trying to maximise every inch of space, it’s worth taking the time to get everything right before ordering expensive products. Sometimes, the most valuable thing you can do is put the tools down for an hour and make sure everyone is happy with the plan.
That’s the part of building work you don’t always see: the decisions, discussions and problem-solving behind the finished result.
Two days of progress. Some of it you can see, plenty of it you can’t—but every bit of it matters.
