Today, we want to say a fond farewell to Phil Lisher, our Director, as he moves on to his next role.
Phil has played a hugely important part in the growth and development of Metron Surveys, helping to build our team both here in the UK and in Poland, while also driving improvements across the services we provide.

His contribution, commitment and support have made a real difference to the business, and he will be greatly missed by everyone here at Metron.

We’d like to thank Phil for everything he has done during his time with us and wish him every success, happiness and good luck in his next chapter. We’ll miss you, Phil! 👋

It’s not every day you hope for absolutely no strikes at work… 🎳
A slightly different setting for the Metron team: surveying a bowling alley, with our laser scanner taking centre stage on lane 2.
One of the best things about surveying is the variety of places the job takes us. Different surroundings, same focus on capturing accurate, reliable data.

Although this is definitely one setup you don’t want to leave unattended for too long—someone might mistake it for a very expensive bowling pin! 😅

World Standards Day was a good reminder that accurate information is the foundation of better digital construction.

For teams working across BIM and digital construction, standards help create a consistent approach to how information is produced, managed and shared throughout the project lifecycle.

ISO 19650 provides an internationally recognised framework for managing information using BIM, helping project teams work with the right information, at the right time and in the right way.

At Metron Surveys, we understand the importance of accurate, reliable spatial information as part of that process, and getting the information right at the start can help support better decision-making throughout a project.
