This week's spotlight: the masked tree frog 🐸

With its dark, bandit-style stripe across the eyes and its knack for blending into the foliage, the masked tree frog is a true rainforest local. These nocturnal amphibians spend their days tucked away on leaves and in sheltered spots, then come alive after dark, especially after a good rain, when males fill the night with their calls. They also play an important role in the ecosystem by keeping insect populations in check.
