Mary’s High School before heading off to McGill University in Montreal. While obtaining my degree in Business, I was a Lineman for the McGill Varsity Football Team. While at McGill, I managed my time between my studies, my team and volunteer coaching for local high school football teams. I have always been able to manage my time and find a way to assist others. After University and upon my return to Cobourg, I was looking for a career that would allow me to use my personable and business skills and I was drawn to the Real Estate Market. For the past seven years I have been busy, as an active member of both the Northumberland Hills Real Estate Board and the Toronto Real Estate Board. My experience in the Toronto Market, has honed my negotiating skills in a hot competitive market. I have sold houses in several cities across the Greater Toronto Area, including a record breaking sale in the Richmond Hill Community of Don Head Village. Having a realtor who understands the area and the changing market is important if you want to get top-dollar for your home, especially as we see a more competitive- Toronto like market making it’s way into Northumberland. I continue to remain active in the community, as a Director of the Fare Share Food Bank, The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation and as a Head Coach for Northumberland Nighthawks Minor Hockey. When I am not working you can spot me out on the golf course, walking my dog Rylee by the beach, with my wife Brittany, or catching a sporting event.

Ontario’s housing market continues to shift — and buyers are taking notice.

📉 Just 13,620 homes sold in August, the lowest August total in 25 years and 22.6% below the 10-year average.

🏠 At the same time, 70,483 homes were actively listed across Ontario — 41.5% above the 10-year average.

💰 The Ontario benchmark price was $745,400, down 3.6% from last year, with townhomes and apartments seeing even larger declines.

What does this mean? Buyers generally have more choice, less competition and more opportunity to negotiate than they’ve had in recent years.

But the provincial numbers don’t tell the whole story. Durham Region, the GTA and individual neighbourhoods can all behave differently. The right strategy depends on the property, location and your goals.
