A new redevelopment proposal could bring around 700 homes, nearly 200,000 sq. ft. of commercial space, and new amenities like a medical centre, daycare, and more.

If this moves forward, it could have a big impact on Royal Oak. More residents could mean more support for local businesses, improved amenities, and potentially more demand for homes in the surrounding neighbourhoods.

But there are also concerns about increased traffic, parking, and how the area will handle that growth.

Nothing has been approved yet, so it will be interesting to see what happens with this proposal.
