Happy 🎉60th🎉 birthday to my dad! How time flies.

My parents had your typical “came here with nothing but the clothes on his back” immigrant story. In the last 39 years, him and my mom together built the life we currently have, working labouring jobs like washing dishes at a restaurant, digging clams, going deep into the forests searching and picking salal, having to carry hundreds of pounds of it back to the truck.

Then out of nowhere he decided to try his luck and buy a prawn boat with no idea how it even works. With a grade 5 level education, he managed to learn the entire ins and outs of the boat and the business, and has since then even built his own vessel.

To say how proud I am of both of my parents can’t even be put into words. All of the sacrifice they made to give us everything we have today. Now it’s our turn to spoil them.
