🍽️ Kitchen Design: The Details Matter
When designing our kitchens, we’re balancing a few key things: functionality, durability, aesthetics, and overall construction costs.
One detail we love is carrying the quartz countertop material up the wall to create a matching backsplash. ✨
You might assume this adds to the budget, but using quartz for both surfaces can actually simplify the installation. The countertop and backsplash can be installed together by the same trade, reducing the need to coordinate an additional contractor. You also eliminate grout lines that can collect dirt and require ongoing maintenance.
And here’s another simple upgrade: 💡 Low-cost valance lighting beneath the upper cabinets adds warmth, highlights the backsplash, and gives the kitchen a more finished, high-end feel.
