The messy reality that not many entrepreneurs talk about while in the process of building a dream and what it feels like…

I started from zero.
Being overlooked.
Questioning myself.
Being underestimated.
Hearing ‘we’re going with someone else.’
Trial and error.
Swallowing my pride.
Doing work nobody applauds.
They call you ‘amazing’.
I call it choosing not to quit.

Every rejection.
Every setback.
Every uncomfortable conversation.
Every early morning.
Every late night.

The dream isn’t built on motivation.
It’s built on all the days you show up when you don’t feel like it.
It’s what happens when you keep going long after it stops being exciting.

Bad acting? Probably. 😅

But here’s the reality, a good realtor should pick up on these things when looking at home— even when the buyer doesn’t.

Here are my top 8 things that I notice in a home that tell me it’s NOT being maintained 🤢🏠

1. Black mould around windows or bathroom caulking
2. That permanent brown toilet ring
3. Thick grease coating the kitchen cabinets + range hood
3. Cobwebs that have clearly become permanent residents
4. Pink/orange slime in the shower grout
5. Mouse droppings hiding in cabinets or the furnace
6. Drains that smell the second you walk into the room
7. Pet stains + that smell the homeowner has gone nose-blind to
8. A fridge with mystery spills … from 3 owners ago 🤦🏻‍♀️

And no… I’m not just being picky. 👀

Because when I see these things, I immediately start wondering:

If THIS is what I can see… what hasn’t been maintained that I CAN’T see? 🚩
Your realtor should be looking beyond the pretty staging. 😉🔑

A well-maintained home is the real flex. 💪

What are your thoughts? Can anyone relate?

Driving through the Uplands in Vaughan today… wondering what does it actually take to live in a home like this?! 🏠

The Uplands is one of Vaughan’s oldest and most prestigious neighbourhoods. Unlike newer luxury subdivisions, it’s characterized by:

✔️ Mature tree-lined streets
✔️ Large estate-sized lots
✔️ Custom-built residences
✔️ Quiet roads with minimal through traffic
✔️ Homes surrounding or backing onto golf course land

People buying here usually aren’t seeking nightlife.
They’re buying time and quality of life.

People buying here usually aren’t seeking nightlife.
They’re buying time and quality of life.

The price point tells the story too. Current properties are listed at $6 million to $11 million. Luxury buyers often aren’t simply purchasing “more house.” They’re paying for scarcity, estate-sized land, architectural significance, prestige and privacy.

This isn’t just a neighbourhood, it’s a different level of living.
Send this to your house hunting bestie. ✨

Buying a home isn’t supposed to feel overwhelming.
Most people just haven’t had the right person walking them through it.

Working together, you’re not just getting someone to open doors — you’re getting guidance, strategy, support, and someone who will hold your hand through every step of the process.

I’ve partnered with the best of the best ( aka Suzy) — the kind of powerhouse who works quietly behind the scenes, negotiates with precision, protects your best interest, and knows how to get the deal done.

From understanding your options, to figuring out what makes sense financially, to negotiating the right terms and getting you to the finish line — we help make the process feel clear, calm, and possible.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.
That’s what we’re here for. 🏡✨
Let’s navigate it together.
