09/23/2026
According to the National Research Council of Canada, the first day of fall for Canada is officially determined by the autumnal equinox, which for 2026 arrived on Tuesday, September 22, at 8:04 p.m. EDT (adjusting across Canada's various time zones). And, according to the Old Farmers Almanac, Fall starts when the sun crosses the celestial equator. The date shifts slightly each year, falling on September 22 or 23. So, in light of that, today is the first full day of Fall! Have a happy one!
