Thanksgiving was tough, first year without Mom. I had intended to keep it low key, but of course last minute I decided I needed to do more. Mom always made the best holidays. When you decide last minute to do more, you should really check that you have what you need. Well I did more,with the wrong table cloth ( couldn't find the one I wanted) the wrong pie dish ( could not find my good one). Took not so great pictures. Made two of my worst pies ever, probably because it has been years since I made them but I whipped them up from scratch a few hours before dinner, after getting my nails done. Had a great conversation with James about how holidays should be about family and loved ones not things.
So Andy, Emily, James, Doreen and I had a great holiday. Dinner was delicious, pie was mediocre. Spending time with my family was perfect.
