Damir Strk - Realtor Proud to help families find the right place to call home. Honest advice, steady support, and relationships that last long after the move.

My name is Damir Strk and my selling experience spans well before Y2K’s threat of putting everyone in the dark. I started with direct door-to-door sales and evolved into selling new construction homes by 1999. By the time the new millennium came around, the high pace and demand of real estate locked me into this industry as a Broker at Remax Realty Specialists Inc. Thanks to my success in the business, in 2012, I expanded my offerings to my clients. Today, I am also a Mortgage Agent at CRJP Mortgages Inc. I have lived in Mississauga, Brampton, Etobicoke, Toronto, and Calgary. I know all the ins and out’s of the Canadian real estate market. I value openness and honesty, which is why I do not sugarcoat anything. Clients can make informed decisions based on the truth of the matter. That being said, I am the most loyal and hardworking Broker you’ll ever meet. I am also a member of the CREA, TREB, and OMREB. I have had the honour of entering the 100% Club as well as the Platinum Club and am a recipient of the Hall Of Fame Award. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family. My kids and I love playing hockey and swimming together and participating in water activities such as fishing and scuba diving. When it comes to investing in real estate, you need someone who you can trust. I am always available, patient and constantly keeping the clients’ best interests in mind.

What does your ideal move look like? And more importantly, what are the real-world options you need to weigh to get there?

Getting the best result means doing the groundwork first. The research, planning, preparation, and coordination of everything has to happen long before a decision is made. Whether we are comparing neighborhoods for a buyer, getting fresh signs ready for a seller, or measuring a property for a landlord, they all take planning and prepping to work out properly.

Wherever your next move starts, let's figure out what it actually means for you. Send me a message.

The conversations that lead to a move start in different places.

Some start with a move into a seniors’ home, and a house to sort through room by room.

Some start with a new baby, with someone who has outgrown their space, or with someone ready to leave a condo for a house of their own.

Some start after a death in the family, with a home to look after, or with an illness that changes what a home has to do.

Some start in another province or country, with someone looking for a place here.

Wherever yours starts, send me a message, and we will work out what it means for your home before anything else happens.

Moffat sits in northwest Milton, in what used to be Nassagaweya Township, and the way in is by country roads.

The homes are estate homes, country properties and farms on large lots, many of them set well back from the road. Many properties rely on wells and septic systems. Robert Edmondson Conservation Area is just south, with trails through wetlands and woodlands and places to fish and picnic. Brookville Public School serves the area, country roads connect to Highway 401, and the town's amenities and the Milton GO station are a short drive away.

Send me the road and I will pull what has sold near it, and we can go through the well, the septic and the property records together.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

Wherever this weekend finds you, at a full table, on the road to one, or keeping it quiet this year, hope it is a good one. A long weekend in October is a gift. The leaves are turning, the air has changed, and for three days the pace slows down enough to notice.

Thankful for family, for the people who have become family, and for everyone who trusted me with a conversation this year.

Enjoy it.

162 William Duncan Road, Downsview Park, Toronto. Just listed.

Everything a buyer usually has to budget for after closing has already been done. New laminate runs through all three levels, so the whole house is carpet free. New pot lights on the main floor. A brand new fridge, stove and dishwasher in the kitchen. One of the wooden staircases newly capped in wood. Fresh paint in every room. Three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and a freehold title with a POTL.

The 291 hectare Downsview Park and Stanley Greene Park are at the end of the street, the Downsview Park GO station and Sheppard West subway put downtown within reach without driving, and the 401, Allen Road and Yorkdale are minutes away.

It starts with a home evaluation. You book it, and we sit down in the house. If you are a non resident or living out of town, I go through the house and you join me by video as we walk it.

We go through the house, and we talk about where you are going next, when you need to be there, and what has to be done for that to work.

What comes back is a plan built around your answers. Not a checklist off a website. Your house, your timing, your budget, in an order that holds together.

From that point you are not guessing. You know what is happening, what is coming, and what it is for. You are not chasing anyone for an update, because it arrives every Monday whether there is news or not.

And the parts you cannot take on yourself come to me. If there is work to do before it lists, I arrange the trades and manage them through to done. Stagers, movers, inspectors, your lawyer, the photographer and the marketing crew, all of it organized and followed through so you are not the one making the calls. If you are out of town, I am the one on site with the keys.

That is the whole thing. The first step is here: https://damirstrk.com/sell/book-a-home-evaluation/

Three storeys, and light on three sides from morning to evening, because this one is the end of the row.

The work that comes after closing is already done here. New laminate on every level, new pot lights on the main floor, a brand new fridge, stove and dishwasher, one staircase newly capped in wood, and fresh paint throughout. You move in and start living, not renovating.

Then there is the outside, which is three choices instead of one. A rooftop terrace for a summer evening. A second balcony for a coffee on your own. A small backyard at ground level.

Underground, a private garage opens straight into the home, so the groceries come in without a step outside, and a second space, exclusive use, sits beside it for a second car or a visitor.

Downsview Park and Stanley Greene Park are at the end of the street. The Downsview Park GO station and Sheppard West subway put downtown within reach without driving, and the 401, Allen Road and Yorkdale are minutes away.

162 William Duncan Road, Downsview Park, Toronto. Freehold with a POTL. $829,900.

If this sounds like you, or like someone you know who is ready to stop renovating and start living, send me a message and I will set up a showing.

September was the month the market stopped and waited.

GTA sales were down 9% from a year ago and new listings were down 14%. Prices eased again. TRREB called it a holding pattern, and the reason is the rate picture. Inflation came in at 3%, above the Bank of Canada's target, so nobody knows whether the next move is a cut or an increase, and my own read is that it leans toward an increase. Buyers are waiting for a clearer picture on rates and on their jobs. Sellers are waiting for those buyers. While both sides waited, the number of homes for sale went up in Oakville, Mississauga, Milton and Burlington.

If you are selling, that means more competition than there was in August and buyers with time on their side. The homes that sold in September were ready on day one, priced to what actually closed on the street, and presented well enough to look like the best value beside the others a buyer had already seen. A home that comes out high and adjusts later sits, and sitting is expensive right now.

If you are buying, there is more choice than there has been all year and prices are below last year everywhere. The risk is the rate. A rate hold locks today's rate for 90 to 120 days while you look, so you are protected if rates rise and you take the lower one if they fall. Get that first, then use the choice.

Swipe through for each city, and read the full post here: https://damirstrk.com/is-it-a-good-time-to-buy-or-sell-in-the-gta-september-2026/

If you are wondering where your home sits in all this, send me your street and I will pull every listing on it from the past year, sold and unsold.

Lunch at the Firemen Movers warehouse last week, with the crews coming in and out through the day. They had just won the 2026 CAM Community Service Award and wanted to mark it with the people who do the work.

They moved my parents. Since then, when a client asks who to call for the move, this is the name.

The helmets on the wall are the ones the company started with. The storage floor behind them is where a house waits between a closing and a move in day.

Congratulations Katherine and the whole team.
