🎃 In the spirit of Hallo-week, we’re highlighting a very special home on Kingston’s East end that helps shape a strong sense of community every October. 👻
The owners of the home at 1292 Hwy 15, on the corner of Biscayne, go above and beyond with their Halloween décor. With nearly 80 massive inflatables on their property, they spark so much joy and excitement for neighbours, passersby, and those who have more recently made special trips to see the impressive installation. 🎃✨
We were lucky enough to speak with the owners, who shared some fun facts:
🦇 Their Halloween collection has been nearly 10 years in the making! It took off during COVID, when the owners felt that children in the neighbourhood could use some joy and excitement for Halloween, even if they couldn’t go trick-or-treating.
💰 They have rules for buying inflatables: they must be on sale, and they must cost less than $100.
🧟 The only exception to the $100 limit is the 25ft Frankenstein, which was a 25th anniversary gift!
🤫 The exact number of inflatables they own is unknown, and that’s intentional. It’s better if no one knows the frightening truth about how many there are. ☠️
The ripple effect this home has had throughout Greenwood Park can’t be denied. There is so much enthusiasm around decorating and celebrating this fun, spooky season. 🖤
We thank the owners of 1292 Hwy 15 for sharing their story with us. They are just one of the many reasons we love Kingston’s East end, where we are currently building in Riverview Shores.
