What happens when your adult kids can't move out?

Ok - let's be honest. It is SO expensive to live these days, compared to when we were young adults 💰

Sometimes.. even if they want to leave the nest, they cannot. And sadly that's our reality these days with rising costs of food, gas, utilities, travel.. etc

How do we fix this?? I have a plan.

Have you considered a small town?

Sometimes.. people crave peace and less chaos that cities tend to bring. Edmonton is great and super affordable, but if you want a slower pace.. it's a good idea to consider a smaller community surrounding the city 🏙

F️or example:
- Bruderheim, Lamont, Mundare
- Gibbons, Bon Accord
- Legal, Westlock, Barrhead
- Devon, Beaumont
etc

These are the communities close enough to Edmonton, Sherwood Park, and St. Albert that also bring a small town feel (and super affordable homes)

Personally.. I love small towns, and think there is incredible value in a small, tight-knit community ❤️🥰

Have you had pests in your home?

I recently dealt with issues with a client where ants had burrowed into the concrete supporting the basement. It actually started causing issues with the structural integrity of the home!! 😱🏠

How to prepare your adult kids?

When you finally decide to downsize and sell the family home - how do you prepare your kids? 😩

I mean.. they are all adults right?? They should be ok.. Right?? 😱🤷

I get it. You want your babies to always have a home base. A place to come to relax and let you take care of them for a brief time

But sometimes.. they may surprise you! They may even be happy for you!!❤️🥰
