The Fraser Valley market is continuing its usual seasonal cool-down and pretty much every statistic is trending downward right now. Sales, active listings, you name it. Properties in Chilliwack and across the Valley are sitting a bit longer, and buyers are understandably more cautious with recently increased interest rates and high inflation as the leading causes.
Condos and townhomes continue to drop in sales and price, while detached homes are showing some momentum as prices slowly increase, a sign of customers' current priorities. That said, prices are continuing to dip compared to last year as properties stay on the market for longer than expected. Even in the cooling market, prices continue to draw in first-time buyers looking to get the most for their money.
