SOLD at Ridgepoint! 🏡🔑

First home. First set of keys. A pretty awesome start! These buyers are a young couple taking an exciting step into homeownership, and I couldn't be happier for them. They found a unit that was a fantastic fit, worked through the condo document review, navigated the details, and secured a place of their own to start building their future.
Buying your first home is a big deal, and buying a condo comes with an extra layer of homework. It's not just about finding a unit you love. You also need to understand the building, the condo corporation and what you're buying into. These two did a great job working through the process, and I'm genuinely excited to see what comes next for them. Congratulations on the new place!

Another sale in Ridgepoint 👀

Pretty remarkable. Since January, 9 units have sold, including 1 off-market sale. For some perspective, only 5 units sold in all of last year so looking like they will double there number from last year very significant when you think of the number of units available and the historic turnover.
The MYLOCALREALTOR Team has been very involved totalling 7 ends in those 9 sales. That's an incredible amount of activity in one condo complex, and we're not even done with the year yet! We're also continuing to see average sale prices increase year over year keeping pace with Camrose market trend. It's a good reminder that even within a specific condo complex, the market can change, and understanding what's happening on the ground matters. With a few months still left in 2026, there's even a chance we could see Ridgepoint sales more than double last year's total. Who would have guessed we'd be talking about and seeing this much activity at Ridgepoint a year ago?

Huge congratulations again to these first-time buyers. Helping people get into their first home is one of the best parts of this job, and this one is especially exciting.

SOLD in Edmonton! 🏙️🔑

One sale, one purchase, a few unexpected twists, and a new chapter ahead! After helping these sellers sell their Camrose home, we had to find the right place for them to land in Edmonton.
They had already picked out a 2 bed, 2 bath condo in a building they liked and were working through the document review when the deal fell through. That meant cancelling the review process and going back to the drawing board. But sometimes things work out in ways you don't expect.

As time went on, a new unit came to market in the same building, this time on the main floor. It turned out to be a great fit, and we were able to get a deal together! There were a few important hurdles to navigate along the way, including the timelines and paperwork involved in a probate purchase, along with the condo document review.
And that document review is something you never want to skip.

Buying a condo isn't just about the unit itself. You're also buying into a condo corporation, its finances, its rules and its responsibilities. Taking the time to understand what you're getting into is an important part of making sure the property and building are the right fit for you. We worked through the details, crossed the right bridges, and got it done! I'm sad to see these guys leaving Camrose, but I'm excited to have helped them accomplish their real estate goals and find a place to call home for their next chapter.

Sometimes the first plan doesn't work out, but that doesn't mean the right opportunity isn't still ahead.
