A $70,000 discount sounds like a win… but was it actually a good deal? 🤔

Here’s what most “my buyers saved $70K!” posts won’t tell you 👇

🏠 Listed at $700K, sold at $630K. Looks like a huge discount. But if comparable homes were already selling for $620–630K, nobody saved anything. It was simply listed too high, and the market corrected it.

🔄 Now flip it: listed at $599K, sold at $615K. Did the buyer overpay? Not necessarily. If comparable sales support $625K, that price can still be a smart buy.

💡 The asking price is just a starting number chosen for the listing. It’s not a measure of a successful negotiation.

What I actually look at for my buyers:
✅ What the home is really worth
✅ What comparable homes have sold for
✅ The terms my buyer gets

At Tires On The Run, they explained everything: the differences, tread wear, pros and cons. 2,820 reviews and a 5.0 ⭐ rating. I picked up a set of Continentals for about $200 less than most quotes I got in Calgary. But it’s not even about the price. It’s about how they treat you.

💡 Tip: when you call a tire shop, ask, “What are the downsides of the tires you’re recommending?” Whoever answers that honestly is someone you can trust.
