The generosity of more than 8,600 CREB® REALTOR® members is helping The Mustard Seed improve transitional housing for women working toward long-term housing stability. 🤝

Through the CREB® REALTOR® Community Foundation's 2026 Community Grant program, The Mustard Seed received funding to replace aging flooring in two apartments, creating safer, more comfortable living spaces for seven women who have experienced homelessness or housing instability.

“A safe and welcoming home is an important foundation for rebuilding a life,” shared James Gardiner, CEO of The Mustard Seed.

To recognize this investment, made possible by the collective generosity of CREB® REALTOR® members, CREB® President and CEO Alan Tennant joined Foundation Chair Christian Twomey, Treasurer Valerie Konechny and Governors Sharon Shore, Nick Profeta and Paul Ackerman for a cheque presentation on Oct. 9.

This funding will support important bathroom renovations at Journey House, helping improve the safety, comfort and functionality of several affordable housing units for families experiencing housing vulnerability.

Today, we seek to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health.

At CREB®, we understand that the real estate business is stressful, and that stress can show up in unhealthy and unexpected ways in our professional and personal lives.

Peer support is a proven way to help move from unhealthy to healthy. The REALTOR® and Assistant Wellness (RAW) group provides that support for CREB® members anxiety, work-related stress and more.

RAW sessions are held the first Thursday of each month from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The upcoming session will be held on Nov. 5. If you’d like more information about RAW, or to volunteer to facilitate meetings, contact [email protected].

Please note that we will be closed Monday, Oct. 12. to commemorate the Thanksgiving statutory holiday. 🦃

This closure extends to all of CREB®, including the Member Support Centre. The Pillar 9™ Help Desk will also be closed.

The CREB® Member Support Centre will reopen on Tuesday, Oct. 13 with regular office hours.

September sales totalled 1,650 units, similar to August and nearly four per cent lower than in September 2025. While September sales typically pull back compared with August, stronger detached home sales helped prevent the typical seasonal pullback.
