π’ PSA: WE NEED TO WAKE UP AND LOOK AT THE BIGGER PICTURE. π¨π¦
When Canadian companies lay off employees here while expanding operations or hiring in other countries, we need to ask ourselves some important questions.
Yet, so often, immigrants are blamed for the economic challenges Canadians are facing.
The reality is that big corporations prioritize business interests, efficiency, and profits β not race, skin colour, or nationality. If they can get the job done at a lower cost elsewhere, they may choose to do so.
Meanwhile, Canadians are dealing with rising living costs, economic uncertainty, and concerns about job security. The future may bring more challenges, and we need to be prepared.
Instead of turning against one another, we need to look at the bigger picture. We need to understand the economic decisions being made, hold corporations and policymakers accountable, and demand policies that support Canadian workers and families.
π¨π¦ Canada is stronger when its people stand together.
Whether you were born here or chose Canada as your home, we all deserve dignity, opportunity, and a fair chance to succeed.
Let's stop blaming each other and start asking the right questions.
Stay informed. Be prepared. Respect one another. Stand together.
Because ordinary Canadians have far more in common than we sometimes realize.
