Meet the designers behind the upper level of our new Fireside show home, Christine and Dominique.

For this level of the home, our 78 Design Studio found inspiration in the quiet beauty of Vilhelm Hammershøi’s Interior, Strandgade 30, and gave it a modern interpretation.

Soft light. Warm whites. Rich wood tones. Simple shapes. Instead of relying on pattern, the designers let texture, proportion and light do the talking.

The result is an upper level that feels calm, thoughtfully composed, and like somewhere you'd want to stay awhile.

Our new Fireside show home was designed entirely in-house by our 78 Design Studio, with each level taking inspiration from a different work of art.

First up: meet the duo behind the main level — Natasha and Allison.

They took the movement, colour and connection to nature found in Van Gogh’s painting Wheat Field with Cypresses, and translated it into design elements. Curves that echo the movement of the painting. Botanical patterns and natural materials. Layers of colour. Even subtle nods to Art Nouveau woven into the details.
