Some homes still do sell in competing offers, and no home inspection condition to win. It can be risky, but many circumstances have to be considered, especially if you don't want to lose out.

If the home is in a very desirable community where homes rarely often go for sale, it can be worth it. I'm not saying you have to skip your home inspection, but you can certainly have a full home inspection performed, post-possession.

Just keep in mind that all homes, especially older will have items that need repair, improvement or replacement. In this case, it was well within the risk tolerance of the home buyers.
