Advance voting for the Alberta referendum is open now 🗳️

There are over 300 advance polling stations across the province this week, and Referendum Day is Monday, October 19.

Whatever side you’re on, this is a big decision for our province. Find your polling station at elections.ab.ca and make sure your voice is heard.

Bank of Canada held rates at 2.25% for the 5th time in a row. 🇨🇦

The Bank is balancing rising inflation from energy prices against a slowing economy — so they’re holding steady until there’s more clarity.

What this means for you in Edmonton:
→ Your buying power isn’t shrinking
→ What you qualify for today, you qualify for next month
→ Most economists expect holds through the rest of 2026
