It’s safe to say we are shocked and incredibly honoured. 💙
 
At the Mortgage Professional Conference in Calgary, we were surprised to receive Sagen’s Broker Community Award of Excellence for our impact with Community Key.
 
Presented by Jim Spitali, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Sagen, co-owner Paul Bojakli received the award on behalf of the entire Q and Community Key team.
 
We don’t say this lightly, but it’s our team that fully deserves this recognition. This award means so much to us because it’s our team that makes it happen. It’s because of their dedication through Community Key and every community event that we’re able to stand on this stage.

Celebrating the life of Norman "Norm" Kneeshaw ❤️

Our Q family lost someone near and dear to our hearts yesterday. Cancer took a friend, a father, a grandpa, and our broker Jan Hick’s partner in crime... there’s really no other way to say it when they were together.

Norm was never short on jokes and was always laughing. He had a way of bringing a smile to those around him. He was kind, always smiling, and always willing to lend a hand wherever he could. He was simply one of those people who made a difference just by being there.

He was a devoted man who dedicated many years to Air Canada before retiring a few years ago. He loved golfing and spending winters in Arizona.

Jan has been by Norm’s side throughout this entire journey, supporting him every step of the way and being there for him in the best way she knew how.

The whole time Norm was in the hospital, he sported the Q blanket. Jan told us it was his favourite. We think that says a lot about Norm and the connection he had with all of us. Even during such a difficult time, he still had a little piece of his Q family with him.

We will miss his laughter, his kindness, his stories, and, of course, his sense of humour. Most of all, we will miss having Norm at our Q events.

To Jan, Zak, Zoe and Norm’s family, we know words cannot express the depth of your loss. We hope to continue to honour Norm by sharing a Dad joke (or two), and by, of course, sporting the Q wherever we go.

If there’s one thing about you, it’s that you’re always up for just about anything.

Whether it’s an intense pickleball match, a questionable pair of short shorts, a hobby horse appearance, or taking arcade basketball way too seriously (they’ll scout you someday… maybe 😂), you always bring the good energy and a lot of laughs with you.
