Thank you so much to everyone who came and made our 2nd Trunk or Treat event a huge success today 🙌! Hopefully you had a chance to make it out before the rain shut us down a little bit early...good thing the sun was shining 🌞 before that!

We appreciate the support of the community to make this free event happen for some extra 🎃 🧙‍♀️ Halloween 👻🕷 fun!

Thank you to the following people and business who set up trunks or donated candy...The Atikokan Public Library, Shelter of Hope, The Northwestern Ontario Metis Child and Family Services, EarlyON, St. Patrick's School, Rainy River District Paramedic Services, Next Step Vitality, The Bargain Shop, The Grill, NWO Rentals, Bounce Zone Atikokan, Chelsea Anderson, and Monique, Jen, Amie, Gloria, Brendan, and Dale.

Thank you to the Township of Atikokan for letting us use the parking lot and providing pylons to keep everyone safe and our volunteer, Emily, for helping with everything!

Happy Halloween everyone! 🎃

Things are getting ready for Trunk or Treat tomorrow! Candy donations are being dropped off, decorations are being gathered, fun is being planned...we can't wait!

Wear your costume, bring a collection bucket or bag, and trick or treat at our "trunks" for some extra Halloween fun! 🎃 👻

There will be a few fun treats available for purchase (see pictures) if you choose, but most things will be absolutely FREE!

When you arrive between 11am and 1pm at the Atikokan Recreation and Wellness Centre parking lot, please look 👀 carefully for the entrance way and do not drive 🚘 through any pylon areas so everyone is kept safe!

Also, we plan to set up bouncy castles, though unfortunately cannot allow any children with face paint as part of their costume in the inflatables as they can stain and ruin them. Please keep this in mind when choosing a costume to wear!

See you tomorrow, Saturday October 24th between 11am and 1pm at the arena parking lot!

Last call out to anyone interested in hosting a "trunk" or making a donation for candy to be purchased on your behalf - we can decorate a table for you and put out a sign to let everyone know who donated :) Reach out to us if you're interested!

Fall is almost here...and we've got something special planned for you Atikokan! 👻🎃🍁🍂🎃👻

Sponsored by Bounce Zone Atikokan and NWO Rentals, we will host our first "TRUNK or TREAT" event on Saturday October 25th, 2025. Stay tuned for more information on location, time, etc.

Families...mark your calendars for our "Trunk or Treat" event. There will be lots of FREE fun for the kids - join us for an afternoon of trunk-or-treating, candy 🍭, games, music 🎵, prizes, etc. Kiddos can wear their costume for some extra Halloween 🎃 👻 fun!

Businesses/organizations...consider setting up a trunk (or tent) to advertise as well as support a fun event for children and families in the community. Not able to make it for the afternoon? Consider donating candy/prizes instead.

Not sure what a "Trunk or Treat" event is? It is a Halloween event where kids can trick-or-treat from car to car, collecting candy and other goodies from the open trunks of parked vehicles. Held in a central location, participants decorate their vehicle trunks with themes and set up stations for children to visit. This event offers a safe, convenient, and community-focused alternative to traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating.

Message us if you're interested in participating with a "trunk" or donations!
