🌿 DON’T WANT YOUR VERGE SPRAYED WITH CHEMICAL WEEDKILLER?

Did you know some councils across South Australia offer a No Spray Register, Spray Free Zone, or similar program?

These programs may allow residents to request that Council does not chemically spray w**ds on the road verge or nature strip directly outside their property.

In return, residents are usually responsible for keeping the verge maintained and w**ds under control themselves.

This may be worth looking into if you:

🐶 Have pets that regularly use your front yard or verge
🐔 Keep backyard chickens
🐝 Want to encourage bees and beneficial insects
🌱 Prefer to manage w**ds without chemical spraying
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Simply want more control over how the verge outside your home is maintained

⚠️ Rules vary between councils, and not every council offers the same program.

📈 Not looking good for mortgage holders…

The RBA has lifted the cash rate by another 0.25%, taking it from 4.35% to 4.60% — the highest level in 15 years.

For homeowners and investors with variable-rate mortgages, this means even more pressure on repayments. The ABC also reports that the four rate rises this year have reduced the average Australian borrower’s borrowing capacity by almost $90,000.

Higher rates are also expected to continue putting pressure on buyer borrowing power and housing demand.

🏡 For buyers, sellers and property investors, borrowing capacity and affordability are going to remain important considerations in the months ahead.
