October has presented some challenging conditions across the Auction market, with buyer confidence and market sentiment continuing to be tested. However, despite these challenges, there are still some positive signs across the market, with some great Auction results being achieved and excellent buying opportunities available for those looking to take advantage of current conditions.
Looking ahead, tomorrow’s interest rate announcement will be closely watched, and the outcome may not provide the positive sentiment needed to strengthen conditions for the remainder of the year. However, it is important to recognise that while Days on Market have continued to extend across both the residential and commercial sectors, Auctions continue to deliver less Days on Market. The Auction process creates urgency, encourages competition, and provides vendors with a defined timeframe to achieve a result.
