Long weekend done. Spring is properly here.
If you're thinking about selling, this is the best light you'll get all year for photos. The paddocks are green, the gardens are up and the sun sits at a kind angle late in the day. It's the cheapest marketing upgrade there is, and it costs you nothing.
Before the photographer arrives, here's a ten-minute walk-through worth doing:
- Clear the benchtops. Leave the fruit bowl and nothing else.
- Open every blind and curtain. Light sells a room faster than any staging.
- Move the cars, bins, hose and kids' bikes off the street frontage.
- Mow the front and sweep the entry. First photo buyers see is usually the street.
- Put the dog out for the shoot. We love them too, but they're a blur on camera.
None of it is expensive. All of it shows up in the photos, and photos are where most buyers decide whether to come and have a look.
