Helena and Jim recently toured 195 Pier Street, a 29-storey Build-to-Rent development that will deliver 219 apartments in the Perth C*D.
We've watched the Build-to-Rent model mature across eastern states markets, and seeing more of it locally is another sign of Perth’s continued evolution.
Importantly, 195 Pier Street is not happening in isolation.
Across the C*D, Perth City Link, Lot 19 and UniLodge at 325 Wellington Street, alongside a broader pipeline of residential and student accommodation, are continuing to add meaningful living density to the city.
For Perth, that matters.
A larger living population changes how the C*D functions beyond its traditional commercial base. It creates more consistent movement through different parts of the city, supports passive surveillance at street level and builds a broader base of demand for retail, hospitality, services and amenity over time.
For our team, understanding what is being delivered, where it is being delivered, and the density it will introduce is an important part of understanding the future of our market.
That means being on-site, walking developments and remaining close to the people shaping Perth.
