Victorian build costs are up 2.8% over the last 12 months. In real terms, that’s roughly $42k more on a $1.5M build than a year ago.
CONSIDER THIS: If you're looking at having a brand-new home buy one that is ready to move in today!
Out of 30+ years experience as a developer I can tell you that that same home will cost you way more to build and not to mention that you will also need to go through the whole process of getting approvals, dealing with neighbors, holding costs, disputes, and quality assurance issues with the builder. You'll be 24 months down the track, and you will have major distractions away from your core business activities and it will be more expensive to build (unless you get us to do the whole thing for you, end to end, in our done-for-you program, then that's a different story)
Think twice, buy ready to move in :)
