Found somewhere you love, but not sure a standard 12-month lease fits the plan?

Maybe you need a little less time, maybe you want to stick around a bit longer, or maybe life is still a bit up in the air.

Whatever your plans look like, there’s room for a little more flexibility at Local: Kensington 🌇

Every neighbourhood has that place: the one locals recommend, the one they stop by on their way home and the one that becomes part of their routine.

At Local: South Melbourne, we're looking for the business that helps shape that experience from day one.

This brand new 124sqm retail opportunity offers direct Normanby road frontage, excellent visibility and the chance to become part of a growing residential community in one of Melbourne's most connected neighbourhoods.

📍 Local: South Melbourne, Ground Floor, 245 Normanby Road, South Melbourne VIC 3205

Got an idea for the space? We're all ears.

POV: your new apartment already has a gym, sauna, cinema, lounge, hotpot dining and even a podcast studio. 👀

At Local: Box Hill, every apartment comes with a fridge, washer, dryer and dishwasher from day one, because moving day is stressful enough without a Bunnings run for appliances.

Downstairs: gym before work, sauna on a cold one, a co-working space when the kitchen table's had enough of you, a cinema for the nights you can't be bothered leaving, and a free private dining rooms for when everyone's finally free at once.

And when something breaks or you just need a hand, the on-site team's there six days a week.

This is what living like a Box Hill local looks like.

Last weekend, we celebrated two years of Local: Kensington 🎉

While birthdays are a good excuse to get together, they’re also a chance to look back on the people, moments and friendships that have shaped the past two years.

These photos capture a day of celebration, but they also capture what makes Local: Kensington what it is: neighbours who've become mates, familiar faces around the building and a community that residents have helped create from day one.

To everyone who celebrated with us on Saturday, and to everyone who has called Local: Kensington home over the past two years, thank you. Whether you've been here since the beginning or joined more recently, you've helped make this place feel like home.

We'd also like to thank our Kensington team. Behind every event, every friendly conversation and every familiar face is a group of people who genuinely care about making Local a great place to call home.

Captured by residents on disposable cameras during our second birthday celebrations, these photos tell the story far better than we ever could.

Here's to two years of Local: Kensington, and the people who make it special.
