We’ve been around the block. Figuratively, literally — we’ve even built our own blocks. Over 20 years, we’ve achieved a lot, and learned even more. We’ve learned that the best buildings are rarely the biggest ones. That a precinct is only as good as the people in it. That getting the architect right matters as much as getting the permit. That community isn’t a buzz word — it’s the key ingredient of a successful project.

Twenty years in, we’re still learning, designing, collaborating, building and planning for the next 20.

Hope & Autumn in Geelong West — we chose Austin Maynard Architects because they think deeply about how people actually live today, and how they’ll live far into the future. 50 Queen in Melbourne’s C*D — for this Essentialist gem, it could only be Kennedy Nolan. Their team understands restraint and how to honour a building’s bones and heritage. 8 Llaneast Street, Armadale — Fieldwork. They design places that foster community.
The architect sets the tone for everything that follows.

Our eyes are always wide open, our head is on a swivel. Inspiration is everywhere — in other buildings, precincts and neighbourhoods, from every corner of the globe. We look at the ones that lasted, not just the ones that wowed. We examine what they got right and where they fell short. It’s how progressive thinking stays progressive. Always learning, always curious — always looking for the spark where opportunity and vision intersect.
