What is the market doing? 🏡

Keeping in mind that the selling season is generally from September to Easter, with a definite softening during the mid year, there is still plenty of activity from buyers.

Our numbers this month, show inspections increasing along with volume of sales. In fact, our team sold more property this August than August 2025.

Overall, if you are waiting for prices to drastically drop in Mackay - you might miss out. Whilst there are other areas across Australia experiencing a downturn, Mackay (with just a 1.3% softening) isn't one of them. Along with Cairns, Toowoomba, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast - there are still plenty of regions which offer solid and steady marketplaces.

The only sector that has lost urgency is from those investing - which will undoubtedly see less rental properties coming to market and most likely see rents continue to increase.
