A great way to finish the week checking out some local crops in the district with some of the central NSW agronomists and learning from each other.

We finished the day checking out this Lucerne,/Chicory/Balansa mix sown in May which got extremely wet and for it to look this good today is extremely remarkable!

Pasture mixes are looking great across the district! This one is designed for hay on irrigation but could also work on a dryland grazing system with some slight modifications for dryland suitability. Contact the Elders Forbes agronomy team to help plan your pastures

The Agronomy team have been out and about today checking out beans and barley after some trace element applications and must say they are looking great! This bean crop has had some critical trace elements applied to date based on tissue test results and will shortly receive a dose of calcium, Boron and magnesium to finish it off going into pod set. Hats off to the grower who has been diligent with timing of critical nutrients to maximise yield potential.
