# # # 🏠 **First‑Home Buyers: Rate Update & What It Means for You**

The cash rate target has increased by **25 basis points to 4.10%**.

If you’re working towards buying your first home, rate changes like this can feel overwhelming—but they don’t mean your goal is out of reach.

✅ Lending rules are built to factor in rate changes
✅ Many first‑home buyers are still successfully entering the market
✅ The right property, budget, and strategy matter more than timing the “perfect” rate

Buying your first home is a long‑term decision, and with the right guidance, it’s still possible to make confident and informed choices—even in a higher‑rate environment.

If you’re unsure how this update affects your borrowing power or want to better understand your options, I’m always happy to have a no‑pressure conversation and help you plan your next steps.

🏠 Mortgage Stress in Australia: Suburbs Under Pressure in 2025

Australia’s housing market is feeling the squeeze. With interest rates climbing and everyday costs rising, many homeowners are struggling to keep up. These suburbs are among the worst affected:

✅ Craigieburn & Broadmeadows (VIC) – High rates of missed repayments
✅ Mount Druitt & Blacktown (NSW) – Mortgage stress rising fast
✅ Toowoomba (QLD) – 74% of homeowners under pressure
✅ Forrestfield (WA) – Arrears nearing 5%
✅ Tasmania – Over half of property owners in stress

This isn’t just about numbers—it’s about families, futures, and financial wellbeing. Let’s raise awareness and support each other.
