It’s Clifton Country Week!

It was so great to see the town buzzing with excitement and activity on Saturday at the Street Markets. Such a fun, family day and a testament to the countless hours of organisation by the Clifton and District Progress Association.

My kids haven’t stopped buzzing about the Treasure Island Clifton Community Childcare Association Inc treasure hunt and getting to “fly” a plane with the Lone Eagle Flying School. They’ve asked if the markets are going to be on every weekend 😂

Thanks to all the stall holders and local businesses, and of course to the CWA for a fabulous Devonshire tea 🙌

CLIFTON COUNTRY WEEK

This week I caught up with Julie and Maureen from the Clifton & District Progress Association for a run-down on next week's Clifton Country Week's preparation. With only 24 members, this local community group consists of volunteers who put together a great programme of events beginning tomorrow night.

A new event this year is "Music in the Park" on Sunday - another great opportunity to come together with family or friends.

Thank you to everyone contributing, sponsoring or volunteering throughout this coming week. I am proud to be a part of this friendly town and what we have to offer.

What a pleasure to assist both our seller’s family and welcome a lovely new buyer to our community.

With an exceptionally well presented home and a structured plan to market the property, this process was efficient and a great result for both parties.

A Heartfelt Process
Congratulations to a much loved couple of the Pilton District on the sale of their property - Tom and Sheryl O’Donohoe along with Woody, Winston and Red have sold and retired closer to Toowoomba. After marrying in 1985, they purchased "Glencoe" in October 1987 and moved in on Valentines Day 1988.

Known for their kindness, friendship and generous spirit, Tom and Sheryl have been active members of the community for the duration of their time in the Pilton Valley, involved in the Pilton Choir and Anzac Concert, craft group, Nobby Lutheran Church, and charity work at the Leyburn Sprints and Clifton Races. Tom has spent most of his waking hours contract hay making around the region as well as relief milking.

When asked what the best part about living here, they both said:
Beautiful neighbours, wonderful community and of course, the views …
