TARAF, the real estate arm of Yas Holding, and Steppe have signed with Marriott International to launch JW Marriott Residences Abu Dhabi, Yas Island. The homes sit directly on the beach with the golf course alongside, about 15 minutes from Zayed International Airport. It is Marriott’s second project with TARAF, after the sold-out W Residences Abu Dhabi – Al Maryah Island. Unit details and prices are yet to be announced.

Speaking at the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Forum on 13 October, His Highness revealed AED 2.1 trillion in active projects across Dubai, with more to be announced.
The property angle:
AED 1.1 trillion is earmarked for real estate development to 2030.
AED 128 billion goes to Al Maktoum International Airport, built for up to 260 million passengers a year.
AED 100 billion funds roads and the Dubai Metro Blue and Gold lines.
New airports and metro lines move demand. Dubai South, Dubailand and the Blue Line corridor are the areas to watch.

Dubai completed 104 real estate projects in the first half of 2026, valued at more than AED 111 billion. That is 52% growth in value compared with the same period last year.

His Excellency Omar Hamad BuShehab, Director General of Dubai Land Department, shared the figures in the official opening address at RISE 2026, held today at Dubai World Trade Centre under the slogan ‘Recharging Momentum in Global Economies’.

The summit brought together more than 300 international institutional investors, sovereign wealth fund representatives, government leaders and developers, with DLD participating as a strategic government partner.

In the panel ‘From Vision to Value: Shaping the Future of Dubai’s Real Estate Sector’, Majid Saqr Al Marri, CEO of the Corporate Support Sector at DLD, pointed to the First Time Home Buyer programme, the Initial Registration platform, the Dubai REST app and the ‘Malik’ AI assistant.

All of it ties back to the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033.
