Dubai is preparing for another major transport upgrade. 🛣️🏙️
A new 30 km elevated road corridor is planned along First Al Khail Street, running parallel to Sheikh Zayed Road and creating another high-capacity north-south route across the city.
The project is expected to include three lanes in each direction, 15 km of viaducts, more than 14.5 km of ramps, and capacity for around 9,000 vehicles per hour.
Once completed, the corridor could serve around 2.6 million people and help reduce peak travel times on Sheikh Zayed Road by up to 51%.
Construction is planned to begin in Q3 2027, with completion targeted for Q4 2030.
