We’ve just returned from a week at Lac Perdu and were genuinely gutted to leave. ❤️🎣
The setting is beautiful – peaceful, private and the perfect place to switch off and spend some proper time together as a family. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed.
What Billy has done with the place is amazing. You can see how much work, thought and effort has gone into Lac Perdu and it really shows. It’s such a lovely place to spend a week, whether you’re fishing or just enjoying the surroundings.
The fishing was superb. The fish are stunning, in fantastic condition and we had some brilliant catches throughout the week.
A huge part of what made our stay so memorable was Mark. He was incredibly welcoming and helpful, particularly with our 17-year-old, who arrived thinking he already knew everything there was to know about fishing 😂. Mark took the time to give him advice and, once he actually listened, he ended up catching the most fish out of all of us! 🎣😂 I don’t think we’ll be letting him forget that anytime soon.
And then there’s Wilson and Potter 🐾❤️. They completely stole our daughter’s heart and became her best friends for the week. She was genuinely so sad to leave them and is already missing them.
What we’ll remember most isn’t just the fishing – it’s the whole experience. The peaceful evenings, the laughs, the catches, the dogs and the time spent together.
We came home with lots of photos, plenty of stories and some really special family memories.
Thank you Billy for creating such a fantastic place, and Mark, Wilson and Potter for making our week so memorable. We arrived as guests and genuinely felt like we were leaving friends behind.
