💙💛 November is Rotary Foundation Month! 🌍

Throughout November, Rotary District 7545 joins Rotarians around the world in celebrating The Rotary Foundation and the incredible impact it makes in communities near and far.

From providing clean water and supporting education to fighting disease, promoting peace, and working toward a polio-free world, The Rotary Foundation transforms generosity into meaningful, lasting change.

✨ Every Rotarian, Every Year (EREY) ✨

This month, we challenge EVERY Rotarian across District 7545 to make a personal contribution to The Rotary Foundation’s Annual Fund. No matter the amount, every gift makes a difference and helps Rotary continue Doing Good in the World!

Imagine the impact we could make if every member of every club in our district gave something this year. Together, our contributions can create opportunities, strengthen communities, and change lives.

💙 Your donation. Our Foundation. A world of possibilities.

This morning, The Wood County Rotary Club was on the move! We had breakfast at Panera Bread in Vienna. Our guest speaker was Stacy DeCicco from United Way aAlliance of the Mid-Ohio Valley. Stacy used a game as an illustration of how individuals decide to invest their resources with housing, healthcare, food, transportation, technology, laundry, shopping and spending money. “Understanding ALICE” (Asset-Limited-Income-Constrained-Employed) was used to make a point of how people will utilize the resources available to them to support their family and survive. United Way seeks to find ways to provide support for qualified individuals on the lower end of the continuum who struggle with financial needs and 67% of West Virginians fall into the ALICE category. The United Way will be doing their annual fundraising event “The Festival of Trees” at The Blennerhassett Hotel and Spa in downtown Parkersburg beginning November 6. This event helps raise money to help support programs that provide the necessary assistance to ALICE. We encourage you to stop by and support this event that will help the United Way in providing the much needed support to our local community. Thank you, Stacy, and your dedicated team, who continue to work hard to give many individuals a better quality of life right here in the Mid-Ohio Valley.

The Wood County Rotary Tennis Championships will take place November 7-8 at Greenmont Racquet Club in Vienna. Registration is open on the USTA website and we welcome players to participate in this annual fundraising event that will allow the club to give back to local 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations.
