Team Moody,

We continue to see a spike in COVID cases across the country as well as in our surrounding areas and communities. We have been able to trace most of our cases to a breakdown in adhering to CDC protocols and guidance during social activities off duty.

Effective immediately, Team Moody Active Duty members are prohibited from visiting bars and nightclubs. This restriction applies to bars and nightclubs across the globe, whether on duty or on leave. As a rule of thumb, bars are those establishments that primarily serve alcohol, and nightclubs are nighttime entertainment establishments that primarily serve alcohol and play music. We highly recommend the rest of our Team Moody population adhere to the same restriction.

As of now, we are neither entering HPCON Charlie, nor sheltering in place, nor going into a lock-down, nor prohibiting sit down/indoor dining. However, I do see these types of measures as very real possibilities if numbers continue to rise.

It is imperative that we continue to follow local and CDC guidance:
-Social distance at least 6 feet
-Wear a mask if you can’t maintain distance
-Wash your hands frequently and/or use hand sanitizer
-Avoid large gatherings
-Do not come to work if you are sick
-If you experience COVID-19 symptoms, notify your supervisor and report to the next available screening

Take care of yourself and others, both mentally and physically. Please take the time needed during the holidays to rest and enjoy your friends and family—whatever that safely looks like in our current environment.

As we’re all very much aware, COVID-19 information rapidly changes. As further protocols seem imminent, we will keep you informed.

#TeamMoody,
We’re well into the holiday season and with rising COVID cases in the local area, Chief and I wanted to answer questions that may be on your mind.

This video may look a little different as we brought in some Airmen to help ask the questions that we’ve heard recently as well as some of their own.

Keep the questions coming and keep raising concerns, so we can work to get the answers you need.

Special shout out to A1C Sykes and A1C Kohn for the assist.

01:07 - With COVID19 numbers rising, when will we know the impact of Thanksgiving gatherings?

02:54 - The decision was made to cancel holiday parties, why?

05:03 - What is the difference between a holiday party and work?

07:00 - Are we headed into another lockdown?

09:57 - If the base does go into HPCON Charlie, what does that mean for holiday plans, travel in the local area and going on leave?

12:12 – What do you want Team Moody to do to keep us healthy and safe during the holidays?

15:00 – What will Moody be doing about Fitness Tests going forward?

16:17 – How can Team Moody stay connected if everything is cancelled during the holidays?

Freezing Temps are on the way, check your heat to ensure it is working!

We are expecting freezing temps over the next few days, please note when switching a/c to heat you will notice a burning smell for the first couple times turning it on. This is normal as the coils are burning off dust and heat is not used much of the year here in South Georgia.
If you notice the burning smell persist for long periods of time or are not sure hot to switch your heat over please contact the office to submit a work order if your heat is not working. Below is step by step on how to switch it over as well we have posted a tutorial on Facebook to watch.

A quick tutorial on switching your thermostat from cool to heat and burning the dust off your unit.
For those using manual settings:
If you are in Cool Mode switch to off, this is done by pressing mode button until “OFF” appears.
Switch mode from off to heat, this is done by pressing mode button press until “Heat” appears (not EM Heat)
Adjust your temperature until heat kicks on (this needs to be a higher temp that what the current degrees is in your home in order for heat to kick on).
Let run for 15-20 minutes long enough for air to warm up and begin burning off dust on heat strips.
Once the burning smell begins to dissipate you can then adjust to your desired heat setting or back to cool setting if desired.

We also ask that you leave faucets dripping in kitchen sink and leave cabinet doors open so heat can get to pipes. It is also recommended that you disconnect water hoses from exterior faucets.

Bring plants and pets indoors and don't forget car maintenance or ensure antifreeze is topped off! Bundle up and stay warm....

As a reminder when temps drop below 55 , if your heat is not working it should not be submitted as an online work order through the portal. Please call these in at 229-242-7805 directly so maintenance can respond accordingly.

Did anyone loose a bird? It’s yellow?
Had several furniture items delivered to 3726 Bishop Ln (front porch) from Walmart/Amazon. They have disappeared in less than a few days before I could return from my deployment overseas and retrieve them. Sad World. If anyone has an ounce of integrity and are willing to return the items, please let me know. Thanks!
Hello! Do we have any certified babysitters in the neighborhood?

Good afternoon! Just wondering with all the shutdowns, will we still be doing the community garage sale next weekend? If so, are we still opening the gate to the public? TIA
Hello, what high school is the homes assigned: Valdosta or Lowndes?
Is anyone still having issues with Mediacom? Has anyone given up and selected a new service? If so, who?
Do we just call the after hours service if we decide to evacuate the area and home?
I have some freshly cut up watermelon and it's pretty sweet if anyone would like some. We'll be leaving for the weekend and can't take it with. I just don't want it to go to waste.
Is anyone missing a sweet female kitty? We just found her meowing in our back yard at the Val Del side of Vespers. She's definitely used to people, very skinny, maybe about a year old?
Pool is back open!
Due to weather we have shut pool down. If it clears up enough to re open we will post an update.
