Last night, a chemical plume was released in the air and it’s still currently being emitted. We were instructed to shelter in place and local schools are closed. Around midnight, we woke up to calls and alerts stating to close all windows. We also turned off the hvac because there was a strange smell of plastic in our home. There was also a a very dense fog outside. Never seen anything like this before and the authorities are refraining from plugging it because it could cause an explosion. What a crazy last 12 hours. 🤦🏽‍♀️

It’s a beautiful thing to hear my son tell me various facts about cars. His teacher asked him what kinds of incentives he wants in the classroom. He asked if she could get him a Rolls Royce 🤣

Yes, he processes information differently than others. Yes, he has meltdowns and hyper-sensitivities. Yes, I have anxiety worrying if my son is getting his needs met at school. However, my son has taught me a strength that I didn’t know I had. I’ve grown to be an advocate that asks the hard questions and requires that his needs are met. I’ve learned to notice shifts in his mood and behavior from a look or a sound. Autism mommas, we carry a lot, but we are blessed beyond measure. Keep pushing ❤️

Hallowe’en The Henry Ford is HERE! 🎃 With over 1,000 lit pumpkins lining the streets, ghost stories, and historic chills, this is definitely the place to be this Halloween season. It’s the perfect amount of spooky and it’s my kids’ favorite place to be this time of the year. Dates sell out fast-have you gotten your tickets yet?

Fall flavors + clean ingredients = my new obsession. Have you tried the new Pepper Steak bowl yet Balance Pan-Asian Grille ? Tender steak pairs perfectly with fresh green peppers, onions, and is bursting with flavors. The classic honey butter chicken is also making another appearance with its sweet and savory honey butter sauce. This is def one of my personal faves!

As a mom of two and a teacher, I can always use a little boost! The new latte and coffee options are a must. New flavors include Ube, Matcha, and Vietnamese coffee. Which one will you try first?
