Holy Crap!
This attic has been completely overtaken by bats and their guano mountains...
This is one of the reasons we are always encouraging our customers to address issues right when they are made known.
The longer you wait... the larger the issues grow. ⛰️ Call us at the first sign of bats, or if you find yourself with a big stinky problem like this one.

This is exactly our experience in the RDU region as well. We follow behind other large name companies regularly. Often the homeowner explains they called us because the last company quoted a full attic renovation for $8,000-10,000. This is rarely needed but pressure tactics and fear increases sales for these companies. If you want an honest assessment of your wildlife issue give us or another locally owned and operated company a call.

WILDLIFE CONTROL MYTH: If animals have been in your attic, all your insulation needs to be replaced.

FACT: Not every wildlife intrusion requires a complete attic restoration.

This is something I feel strongly about.

Yes, bats, raccoons, squirrels, mice, and other wildlife can cause significant attic damage.

Droppings, urine contamination, nesting activity, and damaged insulation are legitimate concerns.

And sometimes complete insulation removal and replacement is absolutely necessary.

But not every situation requires that level of work.

Some properties may only need targeted cleaning, localized insulation replacement, or other limited remediation.

The right recommendation should come from evaluating the actual conditions inside the attic.

Not from using fear to sell the biggest project possible.

At Bats to Rats, we believe homeowners deserve to understand what we found, what the risks are, and what work is actually necessary.

Education should help homeowners make informed decisions, not scare them into spending money.

That's what leading with integrity looks like.

Mystery SOLVED!
Meet our very angry attic visitor... a BROWN BAT! 😅🦇
These little guys found their way inside through a gable vent and clearly are not thrilled about being discovered!
Our team will safely remove the bats and seal up the entry points to help prevent any unwanted return visits. Because as much as we appreciate wildlife, the attic isn't the place for it!

Undeniably cute - extremely problematic. 🦝🦝
Found these two guys hanging out somewhere they don't belong.
Racoons can cause serious damage to your property. Don't let the cuteness fool you, you don't want these guys hanging around your attic.

Did you make your guess at which NC critter is responsible for this damage?!

Well... Drumroll 🥁...
If you guessed squirrels, you're spot on!

Both squirrels and racoons are incredibly determined, strong and destructive. It can be hard to tell the damage apart between the two, but that nice big hole chewed in the roof line is distinctly squirrel!
If you're seeing evidence of critters or sightings, do not wait until AFTER they've had thier fun to give us a call!
