Sarasota after sunset is made for two. π₯ Here are a few ideas that take you out on the water and beyond the dinner table:
- Paddle the Lido Key mangrove tunnels at golden hour, then end the night with a sunset toast on the water.
- Charter a catamaran on Sarasota Bay with ch*****ne, a skipper, and nowhere to be.
- Book an offshore fishing charter and see who reels in the biggest catch. Loser buys dinner.
- Take a boat out to Egmont Key State Park to explore the ruins of Fort Dade, an old military outpost from the 1800s, reachable only by water.
- Spend an afternoon at Ca' d'Zan, the Ringling's Venetian-style mansion on the bay, then catch an evening show at the Sarasota Opera or Asolo Rep.
- Watch a Sunday match at the Sarasota Polo Club in season, with a picnic and a bottle of something good.
- Fly down to Key West and take a seaplane to the Dry Tortugas, one of the most remote national parks in the country.
Save this for your next date night, and send it to the one you'd bring.
