🍁 LOCAL SPOTLIGHT | Alabama Farmers Market – Birmingham! 🍠🎃

Some places just take you back to simpler times!

Made a stop at the Alabama Farmers Market on Finley Avenue in Birmingham, home of the Jefferson County Truck Growers Association, which has been supporting Alabama agriculture since 1921!

Stopped in at Evelyn’s Produce and found everything from fresh collards, turnips, and sweet potatoes to pumpkins, homemade pork rinds, sugar cane, and good old-fashioned sorghum syrup!

There’s something special about places like this. Generations of farmers, family traditions, and a little Southern hospitality all under one roof.

🌶️ LOCAL SPOTLIGHT | Cajun Steamer – Trussville

My baby boy Nic (and yes, he’ll always be our baby 😂) and I were missing his days at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, so we figured we’d get a little taste of Louisiana a little closer to home.

We hit up Cajun Steamer in Trussville for some seafood gumbo and crawfish étouffée—and it definitely scratched the itch! 🦞⚜️

But I think my favorite thing in the whole place might have been the sign on the wall:

“Be Nice or Leave!”

That’ll preach! 😂 The world could probably use a little more of that these days.

Good food. Good memories. And even better time with my boy.

One of the things I enjoy about real estate is getting to know and spotlight the places that make our communities worth calling home.
