This time of year can be a perfect storm for anxiety and overwhelm. This is true for parents as well as children. However, when the adults focus on taking steps to minimize the Holiday Overwhelm, it can support the kids and decrease their stress and anxiety as well.
It can be difficult to avoid falling into the trap of over-scheduling, comparing what our holiday looks like to that of others, and fear of saying “no” to things we know will increase stress.
