When you ask us for a preliminary HUD-1 (aka an estimate of fees), you may see that we have a line item dedicated to owner's title insurance. If you are working with a lender for loan money, the lender will generally require that the title policy cover their interests in the real estate in case an adverse claim on title pops up, but that doesn't necessarily protect the grantee (you). That's why an owner's policy is important, as well-- to protect your interests.

SUV Crashes Into Va. Silver Diner, Burst Into Flames

Wow-- we hope that everyone involved walked away safe from this insanity. Today, Silver Diner in Tysons was rammed 3 times by a Hummer and burst into flames. At one point, a patron was pinned by the truck.
