It's officially open house weekend in Pierce County, and there are some good ones to see.

Here's the thing about online listing photos: they only tell you so much. You can't feel the natural light from a photo. You can't tell if the kitchen actually fits your Sunday pancake crew. You can't gauge how quiet (or not) the street really is until you're standing in the driveway.

Open houses solve all of that. No appointment, no pressure, no commitment. Just show up and walk through.

Walking through a home tells you things pictures never will, how the light hits the kitchen in the afternoon, whether the layout actually makes sense for real life, what the street sounds like on a Saturday.

Here's a fun way to spend part of your weekend: open houses. All over the county, no appointment required.

Walking through a home in person tells you things photos never will. How the light hits the kitchen in the afternoon, what the street actually sounds like, whether the primary bedroom fits your furniture. You just can't get that from scrolling.
