🏠 A new roof doesn’t always mean a problem-free roof!

This home had its roof replaced just 3 years ago, but the moisture-damaged decking underneath was left behind.

💡 Our Smart Move Tip: When replacing your roof, make sure any damaged decking is replaced, too!

Spending an extra $50–$100 to replace a damaged piece of plywood could save you a major headache when it’s time to sell your home!

It’s the details you can’t see that matter! 🔍

🔎🏡 WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?

Here's something Todd recently uncovered during a home inspection! ⚡

These electrical connections were made outside of a proper electrical box, creating a potential fire and shock hazard.

The good news? This is typically a straightforward fix for a licensed electrician!

This is why a thorough home inspection matters!

Most buyers would never notice something like this during a walkthrough. Our job isn't to scare you away from a home. It's to identify potential concerns, explain what they mean, and help you move forward with confidence!

Tuesday’s Smart Tip: Let's Clear the Air!

This photo from underneath a home shows flexible ductwork being used for the dryer exhaust. For this part of the vent, smooth metal ductwork is recommended. Flexible material can trap lint in its ridges and can sag or kink, restricting airflow.

The good news? This is a practical maintenance item to address with a qualified professional. Proper ductwork helps your dryer move warm, moist air outside and reduces lint buildup.

Buyers: Ask about the dryer vent’s condition and where it exits the home.

Realtors: This is a helpful item to check when preparing a home to list—especially when the duct runs through a crawlspace.

Our goal is to help you understand what we find and what to do next.

Monday's Smart Move

A little morning reminder for our fellow entrepreneurs: You can be grateful for the business you’re building and still have days when it feels heavy.

Some mornings you’re full of ideas. Other mornings, you’re asking God for the energy to take the next step.

Make the call. Follow up. Keep your word. Care for the people who trust you. Those little things add up, even when the results take time.

Praying for steady hearts, clear direction, and the courage to keep going this week.

🏡 Friday’s Smart Move: Choosing an inspector who makes you feel heard.

Buying a home comes with plenty of questions—and you should never feel uncomfortable asking them. ❤️

This client shared that Todd took time to walk them through their biggest concerns, explain what he found, and make sure their questions were answered. But the part that means the most to us?

“[They] didn’t make my thoughts or concerns feel invalid.”

Your concerns matter. Whether it’s your first home or your fifth, we want you to feel comfortable, informed, and supported throughout the process.

Thank you for trusting us with your home inspection!
