🌟🌟🌟MANDATORY ME MONDAY🌟🌟🌟
Last week I attended an event for Military Spouses hosted by the #FortMeadeEnlistedSpouseClub and a portion of it was focused on self care. Yesterday I went skiing, for the very first time in my entire life. I went with my daughters for my youngest daughters Girl Scout Troops earned adventure. I ended up with a mild concussion and was basically forced to take a day off since November. It was only 14ish hours but nonetheless much needed time to recoup... My morning.... Since we moved here in 2014 we have talked about participating in Wreaths Across America. We always discussed going to Arlington but we usually used the kids or the weather as a way to get out of it... 😆 This year the committee at Baltimore National Cemetery needed volunteers to help direct and one of my fellow ESC members asked if I wanted to help so I said yes! I knew I wouldn’t back out of that!! Funny how the mind works, right? We were in the rain for 3.5 hours helping set up the speakers for the ceremony, setting up wreaths and then directing people who were laying them. Of course I thought I had dressed for the weather, no I dressed for cold not rain... 🥶🌧🌬 I never have to do that again but probably will!! Absolutely loved it and there was a beautiful rainbow at the end!! It’s faint but you can see it in the last picture!!
